Buildout
A buildout is the work that turns an empty shell or an unfinished space into a usable interior. In the records we hold the term covers partitions, ceilings, finishes and the services that are added inside the base building.

About Buildout
A buildout set shows the new partition and ceiling layout, the fixture and equipment plan, and the mechanical, electrical and plumbing runs that feed them. Scope is driven by how much the space already has, since a shell with services in place takes less work than a bare structure. Buildout records commonly appear with tenant improvement, interior finish and shell building headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"buildout" appears in 6,225 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
