GLOSSARY
Interior Finish
Interior finish is the layer of a building's interior that is seen and touched: wall and ceiling surfaces, floor coverings, trim and paint. In the records we hold the term covers those finishes and the substrates they go onto.

About Interior Finish
Finish plans and schedules name the material at each surface, the substrate it goes on, and the trim and transitions between rooms. Scope is set by how much of the space is being redone and by whether the work reaches the services behind the surfaces. Interior finish records commonly appear with buildout, tenant improvement and drywall headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"interior finish" appears in 2,182 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
