Irrigation System

An irrigation system is the network of pipes, valves, heads and controls that waters a landscape. In the records we hold the term covers a new system, an extension of an existing one, and the well or meter that feeds it.

About Irrigation System

An irrigation drawing shows the zone layout, the head spacing and the backflow assembly, since the water supply is what ties the system to the rest of the plumbing. Scope is driven by the area planted, the supply available and the soil and slope. Reclaimed water and sprinkler headings are common companions on the same record.

FLORIDA PERMIT DATA

In the records

"irrigation system" appears in 40,780 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.

A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
