GLOSSARY
Irrigation Well
An irrigation well is a well drilled to supply water for landscape irrigation rather than for drinking. In the records we hold the term covers the well, the pump that draws from it and the piping that reaches the irrigation system.
Detail
About Irrigation Well
Drawings and records show the well's location and depth, the casing, the pump and controls, and the backflow protection where the system can also draw on a potable supply. Scope is driven by the water demand of the landscape and by the depth needed to reach the aquifer. Irrigation well records commonly appear with irrigation system, sprinkler system and irrigation meter headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA

"irrigation well" appears in 580 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
