Warehouse

A warehouse is a large building used for storing or handling goods, usually with a high clear interior and loading doors. In the records we hold the term covers the building shell and the fit-out work recorded inside it.

About Warehouse

Warehouse drawings show the column grid and clear height, the slab and what it is designed to carry, the loading doors and truck apron, and the racking or office area inside. Scope is driven by how the space is used, since storage, light assembly and distribution each need different racking, sprinkler and office arrangements. Warehouse records commonly appear with storage, office and shell building headings.

FLORIDA PERMIT DATA

In the records

"warehouse" appears in 2,117 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.

A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
