GLOSSARY
Storage
Storage is space set aside for keeping goods, whether it is a room inside a building, a self-storage facility or an outdoor yard. In the records we hold the term covers the structure, its racking or partitions, and the access and fire protection that serve it.

About Storage
Storage drawings show the building or room envelope, the racking or partition layout, the aisle widths and the sprinkler and lighting coverage. Scope is driven by what is kept and how densely it is packed, since a warehouse, a self-storage row and a records room are laid out differently. Storage records frequently carry warehouse, self-storage and storage building headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"storage" appears in 6,997 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
