GLOSSARY
Condominium
A condominium is a building, or a unit within one, where the interior of each unit is owned separately and the structure and shared areas are owned in common. In the records we hold the term covers work inside a unit and work on the shared elements.
Detail
About Condominium
Drawings for condominium work show the unit boundaries, the demising walls, and the point where a unit's systems meet the building's shared risers. Scope is set by whether the work stays inside the unit or reaches a shared element such as the roof, the corridor or the exterior wall, since that involves the association as well as the owner. Condominium records commonly appear with window replacement, plumbing and concrete headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"condominium" appears in 7,281 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
