GLOSSARY
Partition
A partition is an interior wall that divides space within a building rather than carrying a structural load. In the records we hold the term covers the partition, its framing and the finishes on both faces.

About Partition
Partition plans show the wall lines, the type and height of each partition, the doors in them, and the rating where one is needed. Scope turns on whether the partition is movable or built in place, and on whether it encloses a space that needs its own ventilation. Partition records commonly appear with interior alteration, drywall and ceiling headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"partition" appears in 1,216 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
