GLOSSARY
Shed
A shed is a small accessory structure, usually single storey and unheated, used for storage or as a workshop. In the records we hold the term covers the structure, its slab or footing and any electrical work recorded with it.

About Shed
A shed drawing shows the footprint, the wall and roof framing, the door and window openings and how the structure is anchored against wind. Scope is driven by size and by whether the shed sits on a slab, on skids or on a prepared base. Sheds are often recorded alongside demolition, concrete and carport work on the same lot.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"shed" appears in 19,684 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
