About Carport
Carport drawings show the post spacing, the footing or slab under each post, the beam and roof framing, and how the structure is braced against wind. Scope is driven by the number of vehicles it covers and by whether it is attached to a house or freestanding. Carports appear often with manufactured home, shed and concrete headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"carport" appears in 16,720 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
