GLOSSARY
Shower
A shower is a bathing fixture that sprays water from above within an enclosure or a tiled stall. In the records we hold the term covers the fixture, the pan or floor beneath it, the waterproofing, and the enclosure or door.

About Shower
A bathroom plan shows the shower's dimensions, the drain and valve rough-in, the waterproofing at the walls and pan, and the glass or curtain that closes it. Scope is driven by whether the shower replaces a tub or is built new, since that changes the drain and the floor structure. Shower records commonly appear with bathtub, bathroom remodel and waterproofing headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"shower" appears in 20,240 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
