GLOSSARY
Spa
A spa is a small heated basin, built in place or self-contained, used for soaking rather than swimming. In the records we hold it is recorded with its own equipment and, often, with the pool it sits beside.

About Spa
A spa drawing shows the basin, the equipment pad, the heater, and the bonding and barrier arrangements that apply to a body of water. Scope is driven by whether the spa is built into a pool and deck or installed as a unit with its own cabinet. Heaters, pumps and covers are recorded separately when they are replaced on their own.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"spa" appears in 27,873 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
