Battery storage is a bank of batteries that stores electricity on site, charged from a solar array or the grid and drawn on when it is needed. In the records we hold the term covers the batteries, the equipment that manages them and the space they occupy.

Scope is driven by the capacity being installed and by whether the bank backs up the whole building or selected circuits.
