GLOSSARY
Storefront
A storefront is the glazed front of a commercial space, with its frame, doors and the entry that faces the street or the mall. In the records we hold the term covers the frame and glazing, the entry doors and the hardware.

About Storefront
Storefront drawings show the frame layout and its anchoring to the structure above and below, the door positions and swings, and the glazing make-up at each panel. Scope is driven by the width of the frontage and by whether the entry is being moved, since that changes the framing and the exit path. Storefront records commonly appear with glazing, door replacement and sign headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"storefront" appears in 1,110 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
