About Expansion

An expansion set shows the existing building, the added area, and how the two tie together structurally and in their services. Scope is set by what drives the growth, since added floor area, added equipment and added parking each pull in different work. Expansion records commonly appear with addition, office and renovation headings.

FLORIDA PERMIT DATA

In the records

"expansion" appears in 2,777 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.

A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
