Fence
A fence is a barrier of posts and panels, rails or mesh that marks a boundary or encloses an area. In the records we hold the term covers the fence line, the posts and footings, and the gates in it.

About Fence
Fence drawings show the line and height of the fence, the post spacing and footings, the material, and the gate positions. Scope is driven by what the fence is for, since a privacy fence, a pool barrier and a boundary fence are held to different standards. Fence records commonly appear with pool barrier, retaining wall and block wall headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"fence" appears in 57,258 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
