Garage
A garage is an enclosed structure for parking vehicles, attached to a house or standing apart from it. In the records we hold the heading also gathers the carports, driveways and doors recorded alongside the garage itself.

Garage drawings show the slab or footing, the wall and roof framing, the vehicle door openings and the separation between the garage and the living space. Scope usually turns on whether the garage is attached or detached and on whether it carries a second floor. A garage conversion or an added bay changes both the structure and the envelope, so those records often appear with remodel and addition.
