Manufactured Home
A manufactured home is a dwelling built off site to a federal construction standard and transported to the lot in sections. In the records we hold the term covers the home itself, its setup, and the foundations, porches and carports recorded with it.
Detail
About Manufactured Home
The records for a manufactured home follow the unit rather than a drawing set: the home's data plate, the foundation or pier system, the tie-downs and the utility connections. Scope is usually driven by whether the home goes on a new lot or replaces one already there. Site-built work around it, such as concrete, carports, sheds and steps, is recorded under its own headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"manufactured home" appears in 33,842 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
