GLOSSARY
Resort
A resort is a hospitality property with guest accommodation and shared amenities such as pools, restaurants and recreation areas. In the records we hold the term covers the buildings, the amenities and the work recorded against them.
Detail
About Resort
Resort drawings cover more than one building: guest units, amenity buildings, pool and deck areas, parking, and the site work that connects them. Scope is usually driven by which part of the property is being worked on, since a unit renovation and a new amenity building are different projects. Resort records commonly appear with hotel, swimming pool, restaurant and irrigation system headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"resort" appears in 1,686 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
