GLOSSARY
Restroom
A restroom is a room with toilets and lavatories, in a commercial building or in a residence. In the records we hold the term covers the fixtures, the partitions between them, the finishes and the ventilation.
Detail
About Restroom
Restroom drawings show the fixture count and layout, the clearances at each fixture, the plumbing supply and drain runs, the exhaust and the accessible stall. Scope turns on whether the room is being refitted within its existing walls or reconfigured, since moving fixtures changes the rough-in below the floor. Restroom records commonly appear with plumbing, toilet and alteration headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"restroom" appears in 2,649 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
