GLOSSARY
EV Charger
An EV charger is the equipment that supplies electricity to charge an electric vehicle, mounted on a wall, a pedestal or a post. In the records we hold the term covers the charger, the circuit that feeds it and the mounting or protection around it.
Detail
About EV Charger
Electrical drawings show the charger's location, the circuit and breaker that serve it, the conduit route back to the panel, and any bollard or stand that protects it. Scope is driven by the charger's rating and by the distance to the panel, since a higher-output unit may need a larger circuit or a service change. EV charger records commonly appear with solar, garage and parking lot headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"EV charger" appears in 3,994 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
