GLOSSARY
Laundry Room
A laundry room is a space set aside for washing and drying clothes, with the plumbing, power and venting those appliances need. In the records we hold the term covers the room's fixtures, its drain and supply, and its exhaust.

About Laundry Room
Drawings show the washer and dryer positions, the supply and drain connections, the dryer vent route, and the floor drain or pan where one is provided. Scope is driven by whether the room is new, relocated or refitted, since a move changes the plumbing and venting behind the wall. Laundry room records commonly appear with plumbing, remodel and addition headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"laundry room" appears in 2,612 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
