Masonry
Masonry is construction in block, brick or stone, laid in courses and bonded with mortar. In the records we hold the term covers masonry walls, columns and veneers, and the reinforcement and grout that go with them.
Detail
About Masonry
Masonry drawings show the unit layout, the bond pattern, the reinforcement and grout at the cells that need it, and the lintels and ties at openings. Scope turns on whether the masonry carries a load or is a veneer over a frame, because the two are detailed differently. Masonry records commonly appear with CMU, block wall and concrete headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"masonry" appears in 1,973 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
