Patio Cover
A patio cover is a roof built over an existing patio, supported on posts or brackets. In the records we hold the term covers the cover, its posts or attachments, and the footings beneath them.
Detail
About Patio Cover
Drawings show the covered area, the beam and rafter layout, the post positions and the footing or slab under each post, and how the cover ties to the house where it does. Scope is driven by the span being covered and by whether the cover is attached to the dwelling or freestanding. Patio cover records commonly appear with patio, screen enclosure and slab headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"patio cover" appears in 2,407 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
