GLOSSARY
Store
A store is a building or a unit used for retail sales, with display space and often storage behind it. In the records we hold the term covers new retail space and the fit-out work recorded against a leased unit.

About Store
Store drawings show the sales floor, the checkout and display positions, the stockroom, the restrooms, and the storefront and signage. Scope is usually driven by whether the unit sits in a multi-tenant building or stands alone, and by how much of the base building is reused. Store records commonly appear with retail, buildout and sign headings.
FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
In the records
"store" appears in 3,275 matching permits in the Florida records we analyzed.
A permit can match more than one term, so these counts are not additive and adding two of them together overstates the total.
